Brief Introduction
General Survey of the College
 Approved by Fujian Provincial People’s Government in 2001, under the cooperation of Fuzhou University and Fujian Sunshine Science & Technology Incorporated Company, Fuzhou University Sunshine College is a private college of Fuzhou University. In 2003, it was approved by National Ministry of Education as a full-time schooling and independent college of Fuzhou University.
Situated on the Wolong Mountain, Economy and Technology Developing Zone (Mawei), Fuzhou, the college covers an area of 300, 000 m2, among which 120, 000 m2 is the school buildings land. The total assets of the college amount more than RMB 160 million, including all the teaching apparatus.
The college has 226 full-time teachers and 4, 422 students in school, currently.
System of Management
With Lin Tengjiao, president of Sunshine International Group, as chairman of the college board of directors and with Chen Gonglin as president, the college practices the system of president responsibility under the leadership of board of directors.
In May 2007, the College Committee of CPC was established, with Wang Xinmin, deputy secretary of Fuzhou University Committee of CPC, as secretary, and Shang Guangmei deputy secretary.
Sunshine College consists of deanery, department of educational administration, department of students’ administration, department of personnel, center of propaganda and career guidance, department of financial affairs, department of general affairs. It comprises 12 majors (including computer science and technology, electronic information engineering, English, law, business administration, accounting, management of financial affairs, international economy and trade, finance, e-business, marketing and administrative management) distributed in 9 departments (that is, the departments of computer science and technology, electronic information engineering, foreign languages, law, business administration, accounting, commercial science, economics, humanities and social sciences).
Educational Philosophy
Integrated the advantages of teachers and teaching management of Fuzhou University and of the fund of Sunshine International Group, Sunshine College constantly sticks to the motto “Students-oriented, Quality-oriented” and actively searches for new modes of education, emphasizing an all-round quality education. It exerts every effort to carry out both basic theoretical and practical education, and places great emphasis on the improvement of students’ practical and innovating abilities, committed to the education of students who will meet the needs of economic construction and social development.
Main Achievements and Honors
In 2005, there are the 269 graduates, among whom 238 obtain bachelor’s degree of Fuzhou University and 97.7% of whom take up an occupation.
In 2006, its graduate population amounts to 670, among whom there are 559 obtaining bachelor’s degree of Fuzhou University and 87.76% of whom find a job.
In 2007, 986 students graduate, among whom 945 are given bachelor’s degree of Fuzhou University and 87. 8% of whom obtain employment.
